Just like regular car tires, golf cart tires come in a range of different sizes and also have different tread patterns which are designed for quite different uses. Finally, if your golf cart is going to be used primarily for off-road sporting activities, or perhaps hunting, the you might well want to think about adding a golf cart lift kit which will accommodate larger, wider and heavily treaded tires to provide grip when traveling over rough terrain.

One important consideration when it comes to replacing tires is just how many tires should you replace? Tires will not always wear evenly and at the same rate and so you may well find that you only need to replace a couple of your tires and that the other two seem to be okay for now. You should remember however that your tires work together as a set when it comes to the performance and safety of your vehicle and that you really do not want an imbalance in the grip being provided by your tires. For this reason it is always wise to consider changing out all four of your tires at the same time.

Of course, if your tires are reasonably new and you simply need to change one because it has been damaged then this is quite acceptable. You should however aim to run on a set of tires all of which are in a similar and hopefully good condition.

It is easy to overlook such things as the condition of your golf cart tires but they are critical for the performance of your cart and for your safety. Check them regularly and replace them whenever necessary.
